As COVID 19 shuttered schools and onsite children's programming across the world, we had to get (stay) creative. With the artistic leadership of Anwar Floyd-Pruitt, we engaged 24 kids via Zoom with weekly projects that centered around accessing their inner power and beauty--with young black lives mattering in the forefront. We also led discussions around allyship, introducing children not affected by incarceration to the importance of supporting those friends, family and schoolmates who are. Our kids did not let us down.
